Why I built The Wisdom Library
I'm Sharon Alred. I've spent more than 20 years in recruitment, and for over 16 of them I've co-run my own consultancy. In that time, my team and I have made more than 14,000 placements, from office administrators to managing directors.
Sitting on the hiring side of the desk teaches you things candidates rarely get to see. Time and again, I watched talented people miss out on roles they were perfect for. The gap was almost always knowledge: how hiring really works, what employers are looking for, and the unwritten rules that can make or break your chances.
I wanted to give everyone the insider view, not just the lucky few with a mentor.
